The risk of exposure was low because the person came in brief contact with only two other people, and all people wore appropriate face covers and followed distancing guidelines.

The individual reported that they were last onsite on August 5 to do work at the Molecular Foundry (B67) and had not been on site for the previous 13 days. The individual noticed symptoms the day after the on-site visit, August 6, and self-quarantined.
The Lab’s Health Services team has determined that the risk of exposure was low because the person did not come in close contact with anyone while they were on site and followed the Lab’s and Foundry’s safety protocols.

The Lab’s Health Services team has determined that the risk of exposure was low because the individual had only one brief interaction with another employee, and both wore masks and maintained social distancing. The contact employee is self-monitoring.

Upon feeling symptomatic on May 25, and prior to reporting to work, the individual stayed home and was referred for COVID-19 testing.
The Lab’s Health Services team has determined that the exposure risk was very low for Lab employees who had been in the building. The person did not come into close contact with anyone else while they were on site and followed appropriate safety protocols.
