LAB SERVICES

Access

  • To access any Lab site, you must have your badge and a face cover. You must wear your badge while on a Lab site.
  • Blackberry Gate is open 24/7.
  • Grizzly Gate exit only M-F from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Building access weekend operations (badge swipe) Call Security 510-486-6999 for any issues
  • Badge Office open by appointment only; email siteaccess@lbl.gov for an appointment

Parking: Parking is following off-hours eligibility which permits all LBNL badge-holders to park in any General or Blue Triangle space. Parking permits are not required.

Shuttles: Shuttles are operating on an on-call schedule Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Food: No food service on site; vending machines only with limited selection.

Health Services: Open from 7 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. Please call 510-486-6266 before coming to Building 26.

Shipping & Receiving: Packages are being delivered as addressed. Call 510-486-4935 for assistance.

Buildings: One person to an elevator. Follow information on signs for use of break rooms and other shared spaces. Stay to the right in hallways and on stairs.

Showers: The showers at the Lab are available to use.

Conference Rooms: Conference rooms are not to be used for in-person meetings. If you need a conference room for single occupancy contact your building manager. Conference rooms are not being cleaned by custodial staff; you must clean before and after use.

A Telework of the Future Team is exploring the future of telework at the Lab, focused on a long-term strategy. The working group is meeting with representatives of the Lab’s areas to better understand the needs of Lab teleworkers.

The group's plan will include provisions for ergonomic safety and procurement guidelines.

OTHERS COMING ON SITE


Construction contractors and vendors are required to follow their employer's health screening processes in addition to following the Lab's requirements to wear a face cover and practice social distancing.
